Platinum Vs. Seeker
The Vs. Seeker returns in Pokémon Platinum. Almost every single trainer in the game has had their teams modified to various degrees since Diamond and Pearl, so a whole new trainer list is in order. Not only that, but there are also two new features adding rebattleable trainers to the game: the daily Pokémon Center battles, where particular trainers will battle you every day in different Pokémon Centers around Sinnoh, and the Battleground café in Survival Area, where you can rebattle Gym leaders and your double battle partners from around the storyline. This section covers all of these rebattleable trainers.
To repeat the explanation: This section shows the trainers' final teams. They should all have been unlocked when you have finished the final Stark Mountain quest of the storyline. If you battle a trainer and the Pokémon are lower-leveled than shown here, you either need to complete the Stark Mountain quest or simply rebattle the trainer again. (If they're higher-leveled, on the other hand, this is a mistake on my part - please contact me with the name of the trainer.) The experience for each Pokémon is given, as well as the Effort Points (shorthanded as HP for Hit Points, ATK for Attack, DEF for Defense, SPA for Special Attack, SPD for Special Defense and SPE for Speed), and the total EXP and Effort Points for each trainer are also shown. Since D/P introduced the power items (Power Weight, Power Bracer, Power Belt, Power Lens, Power Band and Power Anklet for HP, Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense and Speed, respectively), the total effort point section for each trainer also shows how many extra Effort Points in all you will gain in the relevant stat if your Pokémon is holding a power item (in case you don't know how they work, every time your Pokémon gains any Effort Points, it will also gain four extra in the power item's particular stat).
The locations of each trainer are hopefully adequately described for you to be able to find them without a visual reference image, but if you find some particular description too confusing to follow, I'd appreciate if you contacted me.

Location: Route 203, east of Jubilife City. Head straight east along the route, up the two stairs ignoring the people on your way, past the final Youngster in the middle of the road, and finally through the next patch of grass. Kaitlin is standing there.

Seeker if you're battling her is the narrow path towards Route 216 below, where you can actually run, although admittedly it's far enough down that most of the steps will go into the journey there and back, and if you want to heal your Pokémon, you should definitely go down to the lodge on Route 216 instead of back to Snowpoint.

Go on north past them until you come to where there's a little square 'pond' and some grass; turn left there and go up through the tall grass near the left wall until you get out of the grass and into another sandy area. Go past that Ace Trainer and go on up until you come to a gatehouse on the left through which you can enter Route 226. Head up through the grass on the left to get to Route 227. Go up past the sign and go through the grass on the right. Get on your Bicycle and use the little slanted rock there to jump over the couple of rocks over to where the Ace Trainer is. Then go very carefully to the bottom of that area and jump left using the slanted rock there. Jump down the ledge at the bottom very carefully and make sure not to go over the next ledge when you turn left. Turn up when you come to the grass and go right when you come to the house. Head up those stairs and then go right. Get on your bike if you aren't already and go up the bike bridge. Go on up a bit and then turn left into the grass when you can and jump down the ledge. Go down the bike bridge there, but when you near the end make carefully sure to slow down so that you won't accidentally go over the ledge on the other side. She's standing on the right just above that ledge. Note that the best way to heal if battling her repeatedly is to go to the extra-hospitable old woman in the house close by; just jump down that infamous ledge, go down the stairs and go left to get to her house.

Then go very carefully to the bottom of that area and jump left using the slanted rock there. Jump down the ledge at the bottom very carefully and make sure not to go over the next ledge when you turn left. Turn up when you come to the grass and go right when you come to the house. Head up those stairs and then go right. Get on your bike if you aren't already and go up the bike bridge. Go on up a bit and then turn left into the grass and continue upwards until you get out of it. Turn right and jump off the two ledges below to get to him. Note that the best way to heal if battling him repeatedly is to go to the extra-hospitable old woman in the house close by; just go up through the grass on the right, turn left, jump down the ledge there, and then go down, jump down the ledge just to the right of the grass patch and get back via the bike bridge.

Cut them and then continue on straight up, through the sparse grass on the way, over the bridge and through the grass on the other side, and you'll find him standing near some rocks and a tree when you're well on your way towards Wayward Cave. Yes, this is one of the least accessible Vs. Seekerable trainers in the game, barring Route 224. Don't ask me why they picked him of all trainers to give a pretty powerful final team.

Oh, and the room past there is foggy. So all in all you'll need Surf, Waterfall, Rock Climb and probably Defog, as well as lots and lots of walking through a cave full of wild Pokémon to get to the route in the first place. Inaccessible trainer much? At least, once you're out in open air on Route 224, you just walk up, past the Ace Trainer, through the grass, past the Veteran where the route turns right, onto the beach, past the Black Belt running around, and then up as you enter back into foresty land. Go past the Ruin Maniac's tree and then go into the grass patch on the left, up the staircase at the far end of it, and Hayden is waiting in the grass there.

Go past that Ace Trainer and go on up until you come to a gatehouse on the left through which you can enter Route 226. Head up through the grass on the left to get to Route 227. Go up past the sign and go through the grass on the right. Get on your Bicycle and use the little slanted rock there to jump over the couple of rocks over to where the Ace Trainer is. That's him. Note that the best way to heal if battling him repeatedly is to go to the extra-hospitable old woman in the house close by; just jump over the rocks on the bottom left on your bike, go carefully down the ledge there and go on left while making sure not to go over the next ledge, and then turn straight up when you get to the grass to get to her house.

Pokémon Center Daily Battles
In the various Pokémon Centers in Sinnoh's towns, there will sometimes be trainers standing in front of the counter. These are the rebattleable Pokémon Center trainers, who can each be battled once a day and move from Pokémon Center to Pokémon Center depending on the day of the week. If you're desperate to rebattle one of them, you can always cheat and set your DS clock to a minute before midnight, as unlike events like migration through Pal Park, the game does not force you to wait twenty-four hours after changing the clock.

High-Level Training Spots
Note that for high-level training, the first place to go is always the Battleground - here I assume you've already battled them for the day and don't want to reset the clock.
Ace Trainer Ariana, the former Vs. Seeker queen of EXP in the game, has now changed her name to Moira and given her team a makeover, resulting in her being dethroned by one Rancher Marco. Rancher Marco, however, unfortunately does not make for much of a training spot, since the only other trainers you can get on-screen with him are Belle & Pa Ava & Matt and Jogger Wyatt, neither of whose Pokémon have leveled up at all since you first battled them. Instead, however, we have a new training spot possibility and an improved old one:
Ace Trainer Dennis, Ace Trainer Maya
Location: Route 215, just west of Veilstone City
Number of Pokémon: 6
Levels: 59-61
Total EXP: 15230
Notes: Actually an even better spot than Ace Trainer Ariana/Black Belt Davon in D/P, believe it or not, and it's one heck of a lot more accessible. This is the place to go for high-level training, at least when you're done with the daily Pokémon Center and Battleground rematches.
Bird Keeper Audrey, PKMN Ranger Ashlee, Psychic Daisy
Location: Route 225, just north of Fight Area

Notes: Technically gives a bit more total experience than the above, but it's spread across eight Pokémon instead of six and three trainers instead of two, making it both take a longer time to battle them and less likely that you'll get all of them in one use of the Vs. Seeker. All in all, Dennis and Maya are preferable, but try them if their Pokémon suit you better.

EV Trainers
In Diamond and Pearl, there was only one Vs. Seekerable trainer with six Pokémon - who would thus grant 24 extra effort points with power items - in the game, Fisherman Andrew. He is still around in Platinum and still has six Magikarp:

Go down the left side of that path (i.e. not the grassy one), go down until the paths have joined back together, and then where it splits briefly back into three paths, he is the chubby guy wearing blue that's running around.

Location: Route 213, east of Pastoria City. From Pastoria, walk east through the grass and then get down to that beach. On the east end of the shore, there will be a narrow strip of sand you can walk across, and if you do that you'll come to another beach, where there are two Tubers playing. He's the boy, the one below who's running around. Note that if training against him, the best way to heal is simply to go up and heal in the hotel building straight above that beach, not going back to Pastoria.

Technically, the most Attack effort you can get from a single Vs. Seekerable trainer is Youngster Dallas, but then you'll have to either use some other Pokémon against his Golem or plant some Qualot Berries:

Location: Route 215, west of Veilstone City, but it is best to get to him by going north from Solaceon Town. Ride your Bicycle up the "breeding route", that one-tile-wide straight path through the extra-tall grass north of town, turn right when you get to the road above the grassy area aof the route, and enter Route 215 that way. Go right up the stairs onto the rock, up the bridge, down from the rock, and go right under the bridge. Craig is jogging around there. Note that Joggers will only battle you in the morning.

Swimmer Male Sheltin
Location: Route 213, east of Pastoria City. This guy is probably the trickiest trainer to get to in the game. From Pastoria, walk east through the grass and then get down to that beach. On the east side of the shore, there's a fisherman (not a trainer) and a narrow strip of sand going on to the east. Around this point, Surf downwards and a little on the right you'll be able to go down a path between some rocks. You'll find a female Swimmer. Now, here's the tricky part: Surf right past her, towards the island with the Sailor on it, but turn down. The big rock on your left doesn't look like it has a gap below it because of the way the rocks below it are positioned, but there is a gap - you can just swim right between them. You'll find him there if you go on left.

Hiker Kevin
Location: Route 207, above Oreburgh City. Go up from the town, into that pit, up the mudslide on your bike, and then turn a little right. You'll be able to go down a one-tile-wide path there off the main road to the east; go down that little path and then follow it on east under the bridge and past the Youngster running around. Go up the stairs there, turn left, and above the next set of stairs, he will be standing by the bridge that you passed under earlier.

Cut past those, go up the stairs, get on your Bicycle and go all the way up the bike-bridge, get down the stairs on the left, and then go on left a little until you come to a Scientist standing above some of the trees. That's him.

Special Defense
Platinum doesn't like Special Defense. There are absolutely no trainers that give exclusively Special Defense effort points aside from a couple of Swimmers with a Tentacruel and a Youngster with a Burmy - you're better off battling wild Pokémon. The best you can get in trainers is Buck by far, but you'll have to be lucky to get him in the Battleground and can only battle him once a day unless you mess with the DS clock, besides that he gives (perhaps) unwanted Defense as well:

Location: Route 211, east of Eterna City. Walk east from the city and into the top right corner of that big patch of grass. The little bump there in the grass is Zach, using his special ninja skills to hide. Talk to him to make him reveal himself before using the Vs. Seeker; he won't battle you while you still (in theory) don't know he's there.
