I doubt there'll be loss of data, since Dreamhost is supposed to keep backups even in case something goes horribly wrong.

Oh man, oh man….I'm scared. I really hope the server didn't crash. But I keep getting these weird messages.
"The requested URL /member.php was not found on this server."
whenever I click on the bookmark to my profile. I'm so scared, my life was stored my user CP and I wasn't done transferring it to a safer place…
Eventually. I was going to do it ages ago, but then gave up in my frustration with vB4's completely impossible-to-work-with styling system. It may have gotten better by now.

I understand that updating the forums isn't your top priority, but I'm assuming that the forums will eventually be updated to Vb 4.0?

Not really. The thing is we already moved to a better server in the hope it would fix it, and it just didn't. I don't know what's causing it to be so unstable, but it doesn't seem by any means certain that moving to a new server would actually present an improvement.
The most likely way it could be fixed is if I upgrade the forum to vBulletin 4 and then reinstall hacks and the like incrementally, which could expose any problems the hacks might be causing while refreshing the codebase completely.
Are there any plans to expand or rework the forum's server, so there'll be less downtime?
