I can't believe this site is still here
I've been using it since I was a kid, like in 2009 or 2010

I love linguistics, so reading the marquee of doom was quite a delight (aside the Sapphire box transcript, that is) ^^

Cheers!

Same reason you need an e-mail address on almost every place on the internet where you can make an account: it makes it harder for spammers and trolls to create duplicate accounts to spam or evade bans, and it makes it possible to have features like password recovery.

If you need an e-mail address, you can simply make one; there are lots of sites where you can sign up for a free e-mail account, such as Gmail (Google's free e-mail service).

Why do you need an Email address to register on the forum?

I'm always kind of impressed when spammers manage to make it past the Pokémon verification. They're probably using Mechanical Turk or something.

The error on the TQftL forum with posts not being deleted has fixed itself.

It would appear that the Zygarde distribution actually overlaps the Reign of Zygarde. I consider this to be further evidence that Butterfree is really Satoshi Tajiri. ;\

The device you're using probably didn't exist, or was not in wide use, at the time I made the Clue Game! A lot has changed in a decade.

I'm not entirely convinced the rise of mobile means using source comments for internet puzzle games is no longer kosher at all; some games just are best played on traditional computers for various reasons, and one such reason could be that they offer more subtle forms of exploration and interaction to the user. That being said, for my Clue Game there's not really much reason for the source hints to be in the source - the introduction tells you about viewing the source, and the source hints are always in the same obvious place for technical reasons, so all being in the source functionally does for them is hide them until the player expressly decides to look at them - so I might as well do them differently to make the game more accessible. I'm going to have to redo the mechanics of the Clue Game for the Python port anyway; maybe I'll throw in this change, too. (And possibly remake the game, because some of the clues are kind of impossibly obtuse - note to self, references to specific updates from 2006 do not age well.)

Thanks for the feedback!

I don't think you should have put hints for the Clue Game in the source code, on the device I use I can't view the source code so now I'm stuck.

I just want to say that Pokemon nicknames are the best!!! My name is Erin, so people call me Aron!(i love it!)
And my sister's name is Avery so we call her Avirizion! Any one know a good Pokemon nickname for Caitlyn?

No; Ice is super effective on Flying which is super effective on Fighting which is super effective on Ice, but Ice is neutral against Fighting which is not very effective against Flying which is neutral against Ice.

Hi, does flying, ice, and fighting also count as a type triangle? Thanks…

To be perfectly honest, I was not awake the day I read this and it completely fooled me.

I am still happily angry at that.

oh no I know it's sprite rips, I was pointing it out because it's a bit jarring to see sprite with white background on the dark roar of time style, especially with the ditto below that doesn't have the background and I didn't know if you specifically wanted to keep the sprite rips intact regardless of the aesthetics of it or not

I'm using veekun's sprite rips, and the Gen I sprites all have white backgrounds. Which makes sense - I doubt there's any difference in how the sprites are coded in the games between the white background pixels and the white highlights within the sprite.

hey i use dialga style and i just notice that the r/b/y bulbasaur sprite you have has a white background, while ditto doesn't. intentional?
